The BioChar Revolution Is Here!

Friday August 07, 2009 @ 3:39 pm

With the completion and opening of Mantria Industries EternaGreen Center at Dunlap, Tennessee this past weekend, we are now on the brink of the BioChar/BioEnergy revolution.

The Mantria Place EternaGreen Center is the world's first commercial-scale biochar facility to commence operations, being able to produce 8,000 punds per hour.

Much discussion has been ongoing on the virtues and role of BioChar in combatting global climate changes, with some scholars see BioChar as the magic bullit in this respect, and most acknowledging that it is going to be a very important weapon in controlling CO2 levels.

With the capability of the  Dunlap EternaGreen Center to convert 43,000 tons of waste to 32,000 tons of BioChar, which will in turn potentially sequester 96,000 tons of CO2, a first, concrete measure in the battle against global warming is now at hand.

The benefits of BioChar are multiple, and - combined - addresses 4 of the biggest issues facing mankind today;

    - transform waste to valuable products
    - produce clean, green energy
    - reduce CO2 levels
    - enhancing agricultural production

Thus, it is no surprise that the opening of the Center has been widely anticipated.

“The opening of the Center has exceeded even our highest expectations,” stated Troy Wragg, Mantria Industries Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO. “This state-of-the-art facility is truly a milestone. From work that began in the 1970’s, we are thrilled to be a part of this epic time for the BioChar scientific community.”

“We are proud to be a part of the world’s first industrial-scale plant for BioChar and look forward to raising the bar on clean energy technologies,” Amanda Knorr, Mantria Industries Co-Founder, Vice Chairman, President and COO.

BioCharCorp is honored to partner with Mantria Industries in making EternaGreen BioChar available to the wide range of businesses that use charcoal and carbon in their own products or processes. The "Green Coal" is here now!!
